Expatriates in Saudi Arabia can now extend their visa validity and renew the residency permits of their dependents and domestic workers from abroad.
According to a report by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) said that it’s possible to renew the residency permits of expats’ dependents and domestic workers. Expatriates can also extend their single or multiple exit and return visas from outside the kingdom.
The directorate added that they can access these services through the Interior Ministry’s platform for electronic services known as “Absher” and “Muqueem” after paying the stipulated fees. Saudi Arabia is home to a large number of expatriate workers and the Saudi government has been making significant changes to its labour laws to make its job market more attractive.
