Saudi Arabia Changes Fees for Visas and Iqama Renewals for Businesses

Saudi Arabia Changes Fees for Visas and Iqama Renewals for Businesses 2025

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the official account for Absher Business confirmed changes to the fees for numerous services offered through the e-services platform.

Operated by the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Absher Business was launched in 2017 to enable establishments and business owners to manage their electronic transactions related to labor. The platform offers an array of services to businesses, including arranging and managing Saudi Arabia visas for employees.

The fee changes will apply to value-added services only, excluding the annual package that employers may be subscribed to. Furthermore, these fees are only applicable to businesses using the Absher Business platform. These fees may not apply to visitors and workers applying for a KSA visa independently.

A full breakdown of the changes to the fees is as follows:

  • Extending an exit and reentry Saudi visa now costs SR103.50.
  • Issuing a residency permit (Iqama) now costs SR51.75.
  • Renewing a residency permit (Iqama) now costs SR51.75.
  • The final exit of the residency permit (Iqama) now costs SR70.
  • Requesting an employee report now costs SR28.75.
  • Updating passport information for expatriates now costs SR69.

Furthermore, it was also announced that the Absher Individuals platform—the related e-service for citizens, residents, and visitors—will enable hosts to report visitors who abscond after entering Saudi Arabia on a visitor visa. However, specific conditions are required for an abscond report: the report can only be submitted between 7 and 14 days after the visitor’s visa expires and only applies to personal or family visit visas. Furthermore, only one report may be filed per visitor. Once submitted, the report cannot be canceled.

The revised fees and new reporting services on the respective platforms have been introduced and effective immediately.
